Nicole Alfred, a sophomore at Rancho Cucamonga High in California, finished 12th in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 girls cross country final at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, Calif. Alfred covered the 2.93-mile layout in 18:17.3 for Rancho Cucamonga, which took third overall with 88 points to advance to the Nov. 26 state final at Woodward Park in Fresno.
